When booking with us you agree, to be bound to rules and terms outlined by the resort as well as our private rental contract.

Sherkston Shores is located on Lake Erie offering 560 acres of beautiful landscape including 2 ½ miles of sandy beaches. It has many activities available, however some of these are pay per usage, these are not included in your rental fee. Please check their website for a list of all amenities www.sherkston.ca   

Cause for termination of reservation: Where the behavior of the guest and or visitor of the guest is so unreasonable as to cause other users of the resort to be deprived of the enjoyment of their vacation cottage, early termination of the reservation will occur without notice or refund.  

HOLD HARMLESS: Owners and their representative attempt to properly maintain the vacation rental. The vacationer agrees to immediately notify the owner of any maintenance problem, so that the situation can be remedied as soon as possible. 

Owners and or their representatives are not responsible for any inconveniences that may occur which they have no control. This includes, but not limited to: power outages, adverse weather conditions, mandatory evacuations, construction, mechanical failure such as pool, hot tubs, televisions, etc. No refunds will be given for occurrences beyond owner’s control. Owner shall not be held liable for any injuries that may occur to vacationers or their guests as a result of the acts of said vacationers and guests. Owner is not responsible for any theft or damage to vacationer’s belongings during their stay at the vacation rental.

Renters release owners and their representatives from any and all responsibility resulting from any injuries or loss that may occur to themselves or their visitors while on premises including use of golf cart (if rented) and deem owners not to be held responsible in any form whatsoever. Renters & their Visitors are staying and using any facilities and rental unit at their own risk. Renter agrees that a maximum of 6 persons (including adults, and children) will be staying at the above rented property and no additional persons shall be on the premises without prior approval of the Owner or their Representative. Further, the owner shall not be held responsible for the actions of any person at the rented property in any way whatsoever. If it is found that more persons than this agreement have stayed at the rental unit without approval an amount of $50 per person per day will be deducted from the security deposit. 

The renter is fully responsible for any and all damages that may occur to the trailer, its contents and property (these would be damages caused by the tenants &/or their guests) during their stay. The renter agrees to pay for all repairs or replacement costs resulting from the damage. These amounts will be taken from (but not confined to) the security deposit. This security deposit will be paid separate from the outlined rental fee and will be returned within 48 hours of inspection, less completion of any repairs or replacements of damaged goods or property. The renter and their guests must abide by all the Sherkston Resort rules and regulations while in the park as a renter of the above property. Any rule violations that result in repercussions through the park shall be deemed violation of the conditions of this contract and will result in forfeit of all amounts paid for the rental.  

Upon check out, rental unit must be left in good condition with garbage removed, food removed, swept, failing which, an additional cleaning fee of $150.00 will be deducted from security deposit. Trailer must be locked and keys must be returned upon vacating the rental unit. Lost keys and/or passes are the full responsibility of the renter and replacement will be deducted from the Security deposit. 

Lessee agrees that upon cottage rental a $700 security deposit will be paid, which will be refunded when the cottage is seen to be returned to its original condition, clean and free of debris and damage. This is also the reservation fee to hold your dates for the cottage rental. 

Your rental fee is required to be paid in full 30 DAYS prior to your arrival date. Should you need to cancel, you must do so 30 days prior to your rental date, at that point all money minus your deposit which will be held as a cancelation fee, will be refunded. 

This means if you cancel your stay, you forfeit your deposit – No Exceptions 

Lessee agrees that upon golf cart rental a $300 security deposit will be paid, which will be refunded when the golf cart, golf cart charger and provided lock are seen to be returned to its original condition, clean, operable and free of damage. This is also the reservation fee to hold your dates for the golf cart rental.
